Silence-Lotto, one of the most popular Belgian professional cycling teams, is now equipped with cutting edge technology from Koblenz. The three riders Philippe Gilbert, Leif Hoste and Greg Van Avermaet are tipped as potential winners of Belgian one-day classics and big stage races. Cadel Evans is being tipped as a possible winner of the leaders jersey in future stage races. After two second places in the Tour de France in 2007 and 2008 Cadel is once again setting his sights on taking the yellow jersey in this year's race. When asked about his aims for this season he said, "In this year's Tour de France I'd just like to go one better than in 2008." With the support of his team he hopes to be in first place on the podium and bring the yellow jersey home at the finish in Paris.
Silence-Lotto team riders ride their races using only premium quality Ultimate CF Team bikes. Canyon has succeeded in putting togehter a racing bike equipped with only the best components from Campagnolo, Mavic, Continental, Selle Italia, Ritchey, CycleOps and Acros.
