The premium alloy frame on the Yellowstone AL 6.9 scores high with its elaborate tube design and tapered head tube for greater stiffness and the lowest possible weight. This is coupled with a geometry and range of equipment which is perfectly matched to the demands of larger wheels - this is our very own interpretation of the 29er philosophy. At the front the RockShox Reba with 100mm of travel reliably smoothes out every bump in the ground with ease. The premium Cross Country fork impresses thanks to its outstanding stiffness levels and optimum weight ratio.
The short head tube ensures that the pressure stays firmly down on the front wheel at all times even on really steep little climbs and the transmission, which is ideally suited to the mountains, guarantees that you'll overcome every climb you encounter. The 29" Mavic Crossride wheels with reinforced rims and thru-axles on the fork are specially designed for the demands of the larger wheels. In combination with Schwalbe Rocket Ron and Racing Ralph tyres you are well prepared for every type of terrain.
mounting eyelets
for mudguards and bike rack
Hydroforming
for a stiff and light frame
TAPERED STEERER
for a precise handling
Oversized inner-bearing junction
delivers maximum stiffness
Replaceable rear derailleur hanger
Maximum stiffness and thereby precise shifting characteristics are ensured via the 3-D-forged dropouts. In order to prevent damage to the frame when crashing, the rear derailleur hanger is easy to replace.
100 % Canyon
The double butted aluminum frame is welded by hand and has reinforcing gussets at high stress points. Just like all Canyon frames the Yellowstone chassis is 100% developed by Canyon.
Anodized surface
The anodization creates a shimmering satin, scratch-proof surface. During the production of the black version of the model 5.0, the aluminium frame gets its final appearance through a chemical process without paint application and thus additional weight can be saved.
