A bike built for pros. Whether it's marathon or XC, the double world champion Irina Kalentieva and the pros from the Topeak-Ergon Racing Team trust in the technology made in Koblenz. The frameset comes up trumps at a weight of just 1.080g and generates the direct forward power that racers expect from their bikes. The slimline seat stays with VCLS technology guarantee outstanding damping characteristics. That relieves pressure on your muscles and saves energy for the descent. At the front the bike is equipped with the lightweight RockShox Sid XX Remote with tapered fork steerer.
The fork cuts a fine figure on this hardtail with its extremely sensitive responsiveness and levels of stiffness. Ready to race. The 2x10 transmission is ideal for competition and with the SRAM X0 Grip Shift Twister shift levers you'll be shifting faster and more precisely than ever before. The lightweight and robust DT Swiss X 1600 wheels combined with the Continental Race King / X King tyres and their premium Black Chili compound guarantee more forward power and lower rolling resistance, thereby making the overall ensemble complete.
Sram X0
Pulley wheels with ceramic bearings guarantee superb durability. The length of the super light carbon cage is designed to fit in with the new XX crankset. In addition, the XX rear derailleur uses Exact Actuation-Technology in order to achieve a much smoother shift experience.

VCLS Technology
VCLS – Vertical Comfort Lateral Stiffness. The design of the connection between seat tube, seat stays and top tube, the special Ritchey VCLS seat post as well as a special carbon layup, helps to obtain a significant increase in comfort while maintaining high lateral stiffness.
Framesize dependent tubing
Long tubes are not as stiff as short tubes of the same dimension. Therefore, the tube dimensions of the Grand Canyon CF are designed depending on their size. The result: overproportional weight reduction for small frames and overproportional increase in stiffness for larger frame sizes.
Maximus Seattube
Bottom bracket stiffness is the main factor determining the power efficiency of a frame. The patented Maximus seat tube, with its shape resulting from complex calculations and the large contact area on the double-walled hollow bottom bracket shell ensures superior stiffness values.
Impact Protection Unit (IPU)
The high-quality industrial ball bearings on the tapered head tube are equipped with the Impact Protection Unit, which was developed especially for Canyon. The advantage is that when a crash happens, the top tube will be effectively protected from the handle bar smashing into it.
