Big wheels and an even greater range of equipment at uncompromising value-for-money. These are the strengths of the Nerve AL 8.9. The modern frame and unmistakable design makes full use of the advantages of alloy and impresses with a sensational weight of just 2650g. For only € 2,099 you get a full Fox suspension. The Fox Float CTD Fit Performance 29 with 110mm of travel, CTD adjustment modes and 15mm thru-axle generate outstanding stiffness and durability in combination with the tapered head tube. The result is that the bike follows every command from the cockpit with razor sharp precision.
A further highlight is the new SRAM X9 Medium Cage 10-speed Type 2 rear derailleur. Shocks are absorbed by a special damping mechanism and prevent chain slap. The internally routed cables in the modern hydroformed frame guarantee smoother function and long-term ride fun. The Mavic Crossride 29 wheels with reinforced rims impress with outstanding levels of stiffness. The Nerve AL 8.9 is the first choice for all those who want a durable bike with ingenious equipment and value-for-money that is hard to beat.
HYDRO 14
minimizes gussets
TAPERED STEERER
for maximum stiffness
X12 THRU-AXLE
for maximum rear
wheel stiffness
one-piece top tube
saves weight by making weld seams redundant
Anti-Squat-Kinematics
Thanks to the position of the bearing points on the four-link, the so-called anti-squat kinematics, compensates pedal induced bob. Any lockout and high compression damping can be avoided. The rear triangle works sensitively, without any power loss and provides more comfort and traction.
X12 thru-axle
Stiffness is the greatest asset. This doesn't just apply to the frame, but also to the axles. By using an X12 thru-axle the stiffness is increased and bike handling is significantly improved.
Tapered Steerer
More rigidity: The stiffness of a 150-mm fork can be increased 100% by enlarging the bearing diameter to 1 1/2 inch. The tapered head tube ensures the light weight of the entire system.
Hydro 14
The hydroformed tubes are produced in 14 reforming stages, and they make a frame design possible with optimum stiffness-to-weight ratios. The number of required welds is reduced because of the now superfluous gussets.
