The superlight bike sets the pulses of 29er fans racing. It is the perfect combination of a modern and premium alloy frame, premium components, low weight and durability. The special hydroforming process makes the frame extremely sturdy and also gives it a unique and unmistakable design. When it comes to the range of components, we also only use the best. At the front we have fitted a Fox Float fork from the Factory series with a Kashima coating. The responsive 29er fork scores high with top stiffness levels and is perfectly suited to the needs of larger tyres.
The Fox Float Factory shock is also fitted with a remote function in 2013. You can comfortably adjust the fork and shock from a lever on the handlebar via the CTD system. A further highlight is the Mavic Crossmax SLR 29 wheelset. The low weight of the rims thanks to the milled out rim flanks guarantees great acceleration even in the case of a big wheel diameter. The SRAM S2210 carbon crankset with its optimum 29er transmission ratios delivers additional weight savings. Superb climbing characteristics, versatile handling and scintillating forward power – this is our very own interpretation of the 29er philosophy.
HYDRO 14
minimizes gussets
TAPERED STEERER
for maximum stiffness
X12 THRU-AXLE
for maximum rear
wheel stiffness
one-piece top tube
saves weight by making weld seams redundant
Anti-Squat-Kinematics
Thanks to the position of the bearing points on the four-link, the so-called anti-squat kinematics, compensates pedal induced bob. Any lockout and high compression damping can be avoided. The rear triangle works sensitively, without any power loss and provides more comfort and traction.
X12 thru-axle
Stiffness is the greatest asset. This doesn't just apply to the frame, but also to the axles. By using an X12 thru-axle the stiffness is increased and bike handling is significantly improved.
Tapered Steerer
More rigidity: The stiffness of a 150-mm fork can be increased 100% by enlarging the bearing diameter to 1 1/2 inch. The tapered head tube ensures the light weight of the entire system.
Hydro 14
The hydroformed tubes are produced in 14 reforming stages, and they make a frame design possible with optimum stiffness-to-weight ratios. The number of required welds is reduced because of the now superfluous gussets.
