It’s the little things that make you smile. This is certainly true of the Nerve AL+, which follows in the footsteps of the successful Nerve AM. A steeper seat angle and flatter head angle means quieter running in faster sections, and the optimised riding position delivers a competitive boost. Canyon’s chassis, working with the high end Fox Performance suspension elements, really shows what it’s made of when you start off. The Fox Float Boost Valve damper makes full use of the greater travel (150 mm), thanks to position-dependent compression damping.
The CTD system is also used in the lightweight 32 Talas FIT fork, so you always have the right setup without the need for time consuming adjustment. The reliable Elixir 5 with high-performance two piece calliper design gives you maximum control, safety and fun even on challenging trails. The front and rear through axles work with the lightweight and stiff Crossride system wheels to guarantee a direct, stiff ride.

wheel stiffness
ANTI-SQUAT-KINEMATICS
sensitive response
without bobbing
Anti-Squat-Kinematics
Thanks to the position of the bearing points on the four-link, the so-called anti-squat kinematics, compensates pedal induced bob. Any lockout and high compression damping can be avoided. The rear triangle works sensitively, without any power loss and provides more comfort and traction.
X12 thru-axle
Stiffness is the greatest asset. This doesn't just apply to the frame, but also to the axles. By using an X12 thru-axle the stiffness is increased and bike handling is significantly improved.
Tapered Steerer
More rigidity: The stiffness of a 150-mm fork can be increased 100% by enlarging the bearing diameter to 1 1/2 inch. The tapered head tube ensures the light weight of the entire system.
Hydro 14
The hydroformed tubes are produced in 14 reforming stages, and they make a frame design possible with optimum stiffness-to-weight ratios. The number of required welds is reduced because of the now superfluous gussets.
