PROFILE

Freeride Tip Bikepark (2/2012)
You propel the 16.6kg drive-train neutral Torque FRX Flashzone up to top speeds with explosive power, fly down the ramp and plunge into the first root passages. Ready to race! The stiff Fox 40RC2, which sticks to the trail like glue and the stiff Mavic Deemax Ultimate wheels allow you to find an ideal line along the trail. The rear triangle is kept firmly in check by the adjustable high and low speed compression and rebound on the Cane Creek Double Barrel shock.

The 15mm and flat Spank Spike handlebar allows you to maintain maximum pressure on the front wheel while you are flying from corner to corner on the Maxxis tyres. The special combination of the large Code brake caliper at the front and the small Elixir Trail brake caliper at the rear impresses with powerful braking and superb modulation. You fly out of the forest, shift down a few gears with your SRAM X0 DH rear derailleur and then kick on your stiff E13 Hive crankset a few times! Then you glance across at the score board when you reach the finish. And what do you see? Your personal best time!

HIGHLIGHTS

OPTIMIZED TUBE DESIGN
for stiffness and tyre clearance

TAPERED STEERER
for precise handling

TrackFlip
FOR OPTIMUM
SUSPENSION TUNING

X12 THRU-AXLE
for maximum rear
wheel stiffness

Optimized tube design
Due to the oversized frame tubes, the Torque FRX frame offers reserves even during the hardest of landings. The Monobox rocker arm design of the asymmetric rear construction offers maximum rigidity and tyre clearance.

Tapered Steerer
The 1.5" fork shaft guarantees a significant improvement in handling. Regardless of whether riding in the bike park or downhill, the bike runs much more smoothly and steers perfectly round tight corners in technically challenging terrain.

X12 thru-axle
Stiffness is the greatest asset. This doesn't just apply to the frame, but also to the axles. By using an X12 thru-axle the stiffness is increased and bike handling is significantly improved.

TrackFlip
Need to adjust the amount of travel to suit your requirements? The TrackFlip makes this possible. By turning the Flip the travel can be adjusted from 185 mm to 203 mm. In addition, the steering angle can be adjusted from 63° to 64°, thereby allowing an optimum adjustment of handling. 63° is great for fast trails and big jumps and 64° for alpine and technical terrain.
