profile

For true racers, the Spectral AL 9.9 EX provides an adrenaline rush just by looking at it. After you’ve ridden this bike once on the rough stuff, you’ll never want to give it up. The EX version of the Spectral AL has a generous 140mm of travel upfront thanks to the Fox 34 Float CTD Factory FIT Kashima forks. With additional travel, it is perfect for even the most aggressive trail riding and lite-enduro use.

Keep it simple – this is the idea embodied by the brand new Sram X01 groupset with just one chainring up front and an incredibly wide range cassette at the rear (10-42t). The distinct tooth profile on the front chainring, with alternating thickened teeth, keeps a firm hold of the chain and makes a chainguide superfluous. A Renthal cockpit with short stem and wide bars combines perfectly with the lightweight and rigid Sram Roam 50 wheelset to guarantee maximum control at all times. Ride on the limit and go beyond yourself with the Spectral AL 9.9 EX.

Bike Classification

Bikes in this category include those from categories 1 and 2 and are designed for harsher, unpaved terrain. The scope for these bikes includes occasional jumps up to a maximum height of 60 cm. Jumps of this scale can cause inexperienced riders to have accidents on landing, which can result in injury. Hardtail mountain bikes and full-suspension bikes with short travel are included in this category.

Canyon Through Axle

Postmount standard
Thanks to the Post-Mount brake socket at the rear wheel, we no longer need an adapter and connecting bolts. This not only saves weight but also simplifies the adjustment of the brakes.

Canyon Through Axle
The new Canyon through-axle system delivers maximum rigidity to the rear wheel with its 12 mm through-axle. Compared to other through-axle systems, the rear wheel is mounted fully on the dropout which means that the wheel can be fitted and removed more easily and faster.

Tapered Steerer
Steering precision is a key parameter for the ride characteristics of a mountain bike. Thanks to the tapered steerer headset stiffness is significantly increased.

Anti-Squat-Kinematics
Thanks to the position of the bearing points on the four-link, the so-called anti-squat kinematics, compensates pedal induced bob. Any lockout and high compression damping can be avoided. The rear triangle works sensitively, without any power loss and provides more comfort and traction.
