profile

When you have reached the sunny summit in Windeseil using Shimano's perfectly coordinated XT drive, your fun with the Nerve AL 9.0 is really just beginning. The Fox suspension elements guide you down the trail safely using Boost Valve technology with palpably more spring travel. Even if your front wheel sticks in the mud there is no need to worry as the lightweight, rigid DT Swiss XM 1501 Spline One wheel set combined with Schwalbe' grippy Nobby Nic tyres give you plenty to rely on.

In particularly hairy situations you can lower you RockShox Reverb Stealth seat post quick as a flash with infinite adjustment. Easy as pie. Using a remote control on the handlebar. A must for ambitious trail bikers. And the cream on the top is provided by the ergonomic GA-1 grips from ergonomics specialist Ergon which simply melt into your hands. Quite simply, this bike is designed to enable you to make the most of every facet of mountain biking.

Bike Classification

Bikes in this category include those from categories 1 and 2 and are designed for harsher, unpaved terrain. The scope for these bikes includes occasional jumps up to a maximum height of 60 cm. Jumps of this scale can cause inexperienced riders to have accidents on landing, which can result in injury. Hardtail mountain bikes and full-suspension bikes with short travel are included in this category.

Canyon Through Axle

Postmount standard
Thanks to the Post-Mount brake socket at the rear wheel, we no longer need an adapter and connecting bolts. This not only saves weight but also simplifies the adjustment of the brakes.

Canyon Through Axle
The new Canyon through-axle system delivers maximum rigidity to the rear wheel with its 12 mm through-axle. Compared to other through-axle systems, the rear wheel is mounted fully on the dropout which means that the wheel can be fitted and removed more easily and faster.
Please note: The Nerve AL 6.0 is equipped with a standard quick release at the rear contrary to what appears in the photo.

Tapered Steerer
Steering precision is a key parameter for the ride characteristics of a mountain bike. Thanks to the tapered steerer headset stiffness is significantly increased.

Anti-Squat-Kinematics
Thanks to the position of the bearing points on the four-link, the so-called anti-squat kinematics, compensates pedal induced bob. Any lockout and high compression damping can be avoided. The rear triangle works sensitively, without any power loss and provides more comfort and traction.
