The Yellowstone platform is the value for money hit in the Canyon model range. The Yellowstone is at home in virtually every type of terrain, whether it's charging along the trails at the weekend or the quick training ride after work. The high-end frame impresses with multi-butted tubes and clean weld seams all beautifully hand crafted. The gussets on the head tube guarantee greater stiffness when cornering at speed. The Yellowstone offers genuine Canyon quality from just 599 Euro: Design by Lutz Scheffer, hand welded seams, double butted tubes, replaceable rear derailleur hangers and plenty more extras which the Yellowstone inherited from previous prototypes. The sporty, relaxed touring geometry is not only suited to longer rides on nearby trails, but also to daily urban traffic. The huge wheel freedom, which allows a maximum tyre width of 2.25 inches, affords this bike totally unlimited off-road capability.
Forging at the rear drop out guarantees high levels of durability and convincing stiffness values. Elaborate forging procedures allow for low weight and high stiffness in the rear triangle. In the event of abrupt contact with the ground it may happen that the rear derailleur hanger gets bent. This is why Canyon only offers replaceable rear derailleurs on all road and mountain bikes. So in case of a drop on the rear derailleur the frame is not itself damaged and can in most cases be made fully operational again after replacing the derailleur hanger.
