  • Premium alloy
  • Unbeatable value-for-money
  • High standard of performance

RennRad tested 8 bikes equipped with 105 shift systems. The Canyon Roadlite AL 6.0 impresses with unbeatable value-for-money.

Everything began in a little garage near Koblenz. The workshop owned by Canyon founder Roman Arnold was a meeting point for the local cycling community. This significant role has today spread to a somewhat larger customer base and – as the Roadlite AL 6.0 demonstrates – rightly so.
For just 999 Euros the rider gets a bike that delivers a level of performance that one can expect in this price range. On the frame it's the seat tube that really stands out with its square shape where it meets the bottom bracket. It then becomes rounded as it runs towards the seat post and is therefore based on the seat tubes in the Ultimate range. The Roadlite manages very well without carbon impresses with alloy of a premium standard. The WCS parts from Ritchey especially stand out. The Evo Curve handlebar allows the rider to achieve an optimum position for his hands. What also impresses is the contemporary paintwork. The simple black and white paint job and the yellow highlights on the inside of the forks and chain stays make the Canyon a real trend setter. The rider quickly finds his ideal position on this bike and this demonstrates the considerable adaptability of the Roadlite AL 6.0. The tyres are 25mm Grand Prix from Continental, which ensure that the rider certainly doesn't miss out on comfort.

Great bike for those new to the sport and a fantastically low price.
