The search for the best Transalp bike is on. Only eight of the 25 pimped up models - among them the Canyon Nerve CF which was the overall test winner - got through the test.
A simple calculation that works like a charm. Canyon compensates for the missing two inches on the wheels of the only 26-inch wheel bike in the test with suspension travel.
The firm carbon frame releases up to 120mm in the most extreme situations. That's more than enough for the technical challenges of a Transalp - even on the eighth day. The position on the bike is competitive and the Ritchey handlebar is nice and wide. The two XLoc levers make blocking the suspension for sprinting well worthwhile. The twist shifters whizz through the gears with lightening speed. The DT carbon wheels guarantee nimble acceleration with just a few powerful kicks on the pedals. And even if you do run out of steam on the Idjoch or Mortirolo the small chainring on the triple crank will help you out.
Cleverly tuned and optimized. Light, lightening quick and equipped with enough reserves for eight days Transalp racing. Our first choice by a mile!
