Torque FR 9.0
Test Results: 10/10 Points - Freeride Tipp All-around

  • Test Range: 18 light free riders
  • The Torque receives the maximum number of points 10/10
  • Tuning Tip: Perfect.

"For us, it's the epitome of easy Free Riders."

The original Torque was a pretty good bike. Then Lutz Scheffer revised the rear suspension for 2007 and also the components were better suited for the rider… now all were happy. For 2008, the winner of the latest test changed little and the proven geometry remained. In the rear is now a "Maxle" axle system, the drivetrain is optimized and the components a little better, and more focused to the Super Enduro niche. Up front there’s a Fox "Van" fork and DT Swiss "2350" wheels which survive the hardest Bike-park abuse. This Torque uses the excellent Formula One brake. The fork operation is smooth and agile and so is the rear suspension. With the correct setup the bike is enormously smooth, but agile and well manageable – super!

The "Torque" for 2008 does everything right. The component selection is perfect. For us, it’s the epitome of easy Free Riders.
