The statutory warranty on suspension parts is 24 months effective from the date of purchase. Parts not included in this warranty include seals and lubricants (oils). After a period of 90 days from the date of purchase these are regarded as wear and tear parts and any exchange or replacement is subject to a charge. The parts which are regarded as wear and tear parts can be taken from the manufacturer’s manual.
Damage resulting from a lack of correct maintenance is not covered by the statutory warranty. This includes damage to friction surfaces resulting from a lack of adequate lubrication or excessive dirt. The manufacturer and we therefore recommend that an inspection and overhaul is carried out once a year. If the parts are subjected to considerable and frequent forces, then maintenance should be carried out on an even more regular basis.
Statutory warranty on suspension components is 24 months from the date of purchase. Seals and lubricants (oil) are excluded from this, as they are regarded as wear and tear parts after 90 days and their replacement is therefore charged. Refer to the manufacturer's information (Operating Manual) for information on what components are regarded as wear and tear parts.
Consequential damage that can be traced back to inadequate maintenance is also exempt from the statutory warranty. This could include damaged bearing surfaces due to a lack of lubrication or heavy build-up of dirt. For this reason, we along with the manufacturers recommend an annual service, more often if your bike is heavily used.
