Assembly of headset parts
Ensure when fitting the headset that you follow the correct procedure and positioning of each part.
Please see photos (right) on how to do this:
The lower most bearing cone is part of the fork must not be removed!
Always mind the manuals of the manufacturers. Ensure that all bolts and screws are tightened to the correct torque. The correct torque is indicated on the component itself, in the bike manual provided with your new bike, or here in the Technical Support Center.
Do not try to remove the bottom cone ring.
