With a load of 3G while riding (three times the previously measured load on the saddle) the seat post's vertical deflexion behaves proportionally. The Canyon VCLS Post provides a deflexion of 8.4 millimetres, while the Ritchey WCS carbon seat post in contrast only provides 5.6 millimetres. This results in a difference in deflexion of 2.8 millimetres which even increases under extreme loads. A rider using the VCLS-Post doesn't have to use so much of his muscular strength to compensate for interference from the road and thereby delivers optimum performance for longer periods. This is why Canyon is continuing to conduct research in the area of comfort on road bikes.
