Even from a distance, you can see it’s an aero bike from its reduced frontal areas, teardrop shapes and the slim Aero Fork CF. The concealed cables further improve the aerodynamics. What makes it special is that even when the cables are not under tension, they support each other so they don’t rattle in the down tube. For the new season, the Speedmax AL 9.0 includes the lightweight Sram Force groupset and the super stiff TT carbon crankset for optimum power transmission. The 1:1 cable pull ratio and the direct cable routing guarantee even lower shift forces and precise, smooth shifts.
Every second counts! You can find your own perfect riding position with the aerodynamic carbon seat post, which allows you to adjust the angle and the horizontal position of the saddle in a matter of seconds. The aerodynamic, super lightweight carbon fibre Reynolds Assault and Strike wheels work with the Grand Prix 4000s tyres to convert the force from your legs directly into acceleration, so you will barely touch the asphalt. The fastest aluminium bike of all time – test your limits with the Speedmax AL 9.0.

Aero Fork CF
The Speedmax AL uses the same aerodynamically optimized Canyon Aero Fork TT Carbon as the Speedmax CF. The flat fork legs distribute the air flow reliably into the entire system and being the first point of contact with the wind they make an important contribution to the excellent aerodynamics of the Speedmax AL.
Aero Shape
Just like the Speedmax CF, the tubes of the aluminium ‘time trial machine’ are modelled after the shape of a drop. The smooth welded seams enable a laminar air flow at the junctions and result in a harmonious overall look.
Horizontal dropouts
In order to keep the wind turbulences at the rear wheel as low as possible, the tire should be fitted perfectly into the recess on the Aero Shape seat tube. As the horizontal dropouts are adjustable without tools you can do this any time by simply using the thumbscrew.
Internally routed cables
With a clean look and protected from the weather, the shift cables run inside the frame. The crossed routing – patent pending – prevents any rattling in the down tube, as the cables support each other. This system also helps to avoid air turbulence at cable passages on the down tube.
