We revolutionised the racer market with the Ultimate CF SLX. For 2013 we’re taking things a step further – we have redesigned the SLX from scratch, making the frame even stiffer, lighter and more comfortable. A frame weighing just 790 g, an 8% stiffer head tube and an even stiffer bottom bracket.
The super lightweight 100% carbon fibre fork – with its superior stiffness and comfort – is seamlessly integrated into the bike’s design concept. The area around the top of the seat tube has been optimised for greater comfort, with the third-generation Maximus Seattube and a top tube that flattens towards the rear.

The seat stays run past the seat tube and attach directly to the top tube, for improved stiffness and a more direct connection to the road surface. Shimano’s elite groupset Dura-Ace with brand new 11-speed cassette delivers outstanding propulsion. Its unique and distinctive four-arm structure is strongest precisely where the greatest loads occur, and the Hollowtech II technology means the new Dura-Ace chainset is setting new standards in terms of stiffness and low weight.
