Our aim was to revolutionise “the most comfortable frameset that Tour has ever tested” and to improve on stiffness and weight – and that’s just what we’ve done with the new SLX for 2013. “More direct, more comfortable, faster,” is what Roadbike thought when they took the new top of the range model out on the road for the first time (10/2012). The area around the top of the seat tube has been optimised for greater comfort, with the third generation Maximus Seattube and a top tube that flattens towards the rear. The PressFit carbon fibre bottom bracket shell has an extremely wide attachment to the asymmetric chain stays for added stiffness.
