If several test rides have been completed with a frame or bike then it is placed in category 4 when it is sold. This means that there are clearly visible signs of wear and tear on the cassette and chain, however both function perfectly. Category 4 bikes are bikes either from the showroom or - depending on the intensity of the tests - bikes which were used in tests for trade magazines. These bikes often display scratches and chipped paintwork caused by stones and they have often been ridden in the forest (applies only to mountainbikes). As with all Outlet-bikes we give the same guarantee as on a current serial bike on all bikes in the category 4.
