Canyon was fairly late to get in on the full suspension 29er party when it released the Lux CF last year, making this bike the young upstart in this test.
The geometry is all fairly standard, not old-fashioned but not massively progressive either, with relatively long chainstays resulting in a shorter toptube. You therefore get a sportier riding position instead of a full-on stretched out racing setup, however the low headtube and steep seattube allow you to put plenty of pressure on the pedals and front end.
Weighing in at just 11.4 kg, the acceleration is pretty phenomenal for a full suspension bike. That’s thanks in part to the fast rolling wheel and tyre combo but also due to the absence of any pedal bob, despite excellent traction. “It feels like you’re getting 110% power transfer!” raved one of our testers.
And on the descents? The balanced, agile handling instils plenty of confidence. The chassis meanwhile, with firm SID forks and rear triangle are more than able to take care of big hits, yet is fairly inactive with smaller impacts – racers will love it[...]
Den lette Lux CF er basis for en god race fully og en overlegen trail bike. Lux CF tager testsejren, grundet sin store alsidighed.
