The Nerve AL 29 is made to be ridden all day long. As full suspension 29ers go, this all-rounder is as nimble, agile and versatile as they come. All aspects of the bike have been optimised to provide the best 29er performance, including 110 mm of responsive travel and broad gear ratios. The balanced stack-to-reach ratio ensures a central riding position for long-lasting comfort yet flexibility to tackle all types of terrain. Extended chainstays together with the steep seat angle and compact head tube to keep the front wheel glued to the trail make it easy to spin your way up unthinkable gradients.
Angular contact bearings in the rocker boost rear triangle sensitivity and are also highly durable for lasting consistency. Our proven Anti-Squat-Kinematics are further enhanced by the rear X-12 through axle for impressive power transfer at all times. The award-winning frame design is characterised by the flowing hydroformed aluminium tubing and internal cable routing for the cleanest look on the trail. Rapid acceleration, supreme responsiveness and stability on rough terrain, with the Nerve AL 29 you can go and ride anywhere you want.
The most prominent feature of the modern alloy frame is the one-piece top tube. Thanks to the most modern hydroforming method no gusset is required on the connection to the seat tube. This avoids a further weld seam and a greater reliability and durability is achieved.
Steering precision and handling accuracy are key when riding. Thanks to the Tapered Steerer, both are guaranteed. The larger diameter of the lower bearing creates a more stable platform, while also accepting tapered fork shafts. As a result, you get a more responsive front end under braking and through corners.
The use of preloaded angular contact bearings in the main bearing and rocker eliminates play and achieves optimum levels of stiffness. In addition, all bearings are fitted with double seals. This effectively repels dirt and the bearings therefore have a longer service life and deliver a much improved response.
The large 29 inch wheels require longer chain stays therefore the use of a modern X12 thru axle is a decisive factor. This guarantees the rider precise and safe handling in every situation.
