Comfort and performance. To achieve one you normally have to sacrifice the other. With the Endurace CF this is simply not the case. During development we came up with the Integral Comfort Concept, our idea of enhancing ergonomics and ride smoothness by focussing on all aspects across the bike beyond the most obvious areas. By optimising tube profiles, applying balanced dimensions and carefully selecting the right blend of components, we have succeeded in creating our most comfortable carbon road bike yet. Sharing many technical features carried over from our current generation of Ultimate CF models, you’re still guaranteed impressive lightness and highly efficient power transfer to enjoy the same unique Canyon riding experience.
Our Sport Geometry results in a more upright and relaxed position to relieve pressure on the back and shoulders. With VCLS technology applied extensively to the Maximus Seat Tube, forks and rear triangle, the frameset employs all our carbon know-how to iron out shocks and vibrations from the road. Lateral stiffness is still maintained so you get responsive handling and outstanding climbing performance. Canyon seatposts combined with Fizik saddles and our new form-fitting handlebars ensure that all contact points are as comfortable as possible so you feel at home right from the first ride. An endurance bike with racer capabilities, the Endurace CF keeps you fresh when all others begin to fade.
The latest generation of Maximus Seat Tube has a subtly scalloped lower section emerging from the bottom bracket, which combines with the overall form of the tube to provide flex exactly where it is needed. When viewed face on, the profile of the Maximus Seat Tube is broader than it is deep. Its asymmetric design provides increased stiffness around the bottom bracket, while not compromising at all on comfort.
Providing the junction between the toptube, seat tube and seatstays, the VCLS Module acts as the frame’s "Comfort Control Centre". The whole section connecting the rear axle and the top tube offers the perfect combination of lateral stiffness, minimum weight and maximum comfort.
Using a Press-Fit bottom bracket shell (86.5 mm x 41 mm) allows us to make the joint between the bottom bracket and asymmetric chainstays 20 mm wider and much stronger as a result. This extra support allows for more efficient power transfer and improved bottom bracket stiffness.
Weighing in at just 340 g, our One One Four SL full-carbon forks with aluminium dropouts provide the best possible compromise between stiffness and comfort, while the 1 ½” – 1 ¼” tapered shaft ensures both absolute steering precision and solid handling stability.
