The "wish test“
Every citizen has the right to cast his vote. This also applies to MTB riders of course. Therefore, over one thousand BIKE readers and users of the IBC forum chose from 109 enduros their list of bikes for the big BIKE-Special 2010. 7 enduros were selected to show everything they could do in the test. Canyon was also chosen and sent the Torque Alpinist into the running. Mark: Very good!
The bikes were tested on the demanding X-Line in Saalbach-Hinterglemm where the testers were able to test the chassis and handling of the bikes perfectly. Here the testers made the following comments on the Torque: "The rear triangle is sensitive, sticks to the track superbly and possesses a fair measure of robustness even if having to deal with big shocks."
"With a full 180 mm of travel on the rear triangle the Torque leads the way on this enduro comparative test", noted the experts. Canyon has consciously given the Torque more travel in order to offer the rider a little more in the way of possibilities and versatility.
In the test lab the Torque Alpinist was also able to live up to what it promised. Front suspension: 6/6 points | rear suspension 6/6 points | brakes 5/6 points.
Verdict: Premium manufactured frame with impressive rear triangle and offering superb ride performance.
