Less interference translates into greater riding pleasure. Less interference means more efficiency. A high level of comfort means less interference. But just what lies behind all that? The seat post must give in order to absorb shocks from the road. Its special basalt fibre configuration allows the new VCLS Post to give better than comparable seat posts, thus offering a better riding experience. The diagram shows that this seat post gives about 2.8 millimetres under a saddle load of just 50 kilogrammes, thereby providing a roughly 50% better value than a current carbon seat post (1.9 mm) and a 25% better value than the Ritchey VCLS post (2.3 mm), which has already been optimised for comfort.
