The Canyon torque wrench allows you to tighten key bolts to the correct torque. The torque wrench can be used in a range from 3 to 12 Nm. In the Torque Wrench used until 2012 you can find an adapter to use your Torque Wrench for 5 mm Allen key bolts. After 2012 you get a box with bits which fits all bolts on the bikes you need to tighten for assembly from the Bike Guard.
All bolts on your bike must be tightened to the correct torque. Over or under tightening can potentially damage components or the frame. This is particularly important with carbon components and frames. This is how you use the torque wrench correctly:
Once the play has been removed tighten the relevant bolt slowly. The needle moves along the orange coloured plastic dial as you tighten displaying the current torque of the bolt. 412_detail.jpg Stop when you reach the specified torque setting and do not be tempted to over tighten. Always use the correct bit.780_detail.jpg
Please note that the Canyon torque wrench may only be used to tighten bolts otherwise this will result in a loss of calibration.
Do not twist the orange plastic lip as it may brake.
