It lives to get rowdy. The Spectral:ON CF, the original mullet e-MTB, returns…and it’s lighter, more powerful, and just as awesomely playful as before. But it now comes with new colours, the Shimano EP 8 motor and GPS tracking.

Business at the front, party at the back

The 29" front wheel improves rollover while the smaller 27.5" rear wheel allows for a shorter rear end and more playful handling.

An all-carbon, lightweight e-MTB ripper

A slack headtube and long reach create a confident, centred stance that increases your control on steep and sketchy trails. And with short chainstays, more standover and top quality dropper posts, you have room to manoeuvre when things get rowdy. The result? Confidence, stability and all-out-fun.

Smooth stable and controlled

Our Triple Phase Suspension kinematics keeps things smooth on small bumps, providing a stable mid stroke for maximum power output, and ramps up at the end of its stroke. The Spectral:ON is truly ready for anything.

Light. Stiff. Strong

The completely re-designed frame, all carbon layup schedules and efficient frame architecture enabled us to gain strength while losing weight. As befits a bike that’s designed to be rallied hard, the frames now meet even higher and more rigorous “Category 4E” standards.

Durable, reliable and ready for anything

The Spectral:ON is loaded with smart features that deliver out on the trail. Large, fully-sealed bearings increase durability and keep water and grime out. Our reinforced skid plate shields the motor and chainring. While the integrated chain guide keeps the chain in place when things get rowdy, or as we call it: Play ON repeat.

Full carbon frame

The Spectral:ON is fully carbon. Its frame architecture enables us to gain strength while shaving off grams. We also bolster rear end stiffness with a seatstay bridge. As well as added bearings that revolve around massive 15 mm thru-axles at both the main and seatstay pivots.

Stellar suspension

E-MTBs deliver more speed, which requires stellar suspension. The Spectral:ON delivers with burly Fox 36 and RockShox Lyrik suspension forks. Additionally, thanks to powerful 4-piston disc brakes, massive 203 mm rotors, and light-yet-durable wheelsets, the Spectral:ON is built to last.

Driven by excellence

The new EP8 drive unit's 85 Nm maximum torque gives you full confidence to handle ramps, roots and rocks with ease. Working in harmony with Canyon engineered batteries, designed for our frames, you get an e-MTB experience unlike any other.

Shimano EP8, power you can rely on

At 2.7 kg, the latest magnesium-clad Shimano EP8 (EP 801) motor is one of the lightest motors on the market. It’s also one of the most powerful, with 85 Nm of peak torque that effectively quadruples your pedalling power and makes punching up steep climbs that much easier.

Canyon engineered batteries

Our batteries are big on capacity and designed to put a big grin on your face.
Ride up to 100 km with 2,130 vertical metres on a single charge (depends on rider weight, mode selection, elevation change and conditions).
And they can be serviced at any Shimano service centre.

Eliminate range anxiety with our whopping 900 Wh battery. Or perhaps you want to boost the fun factor with the increased agility and weight saving of the 720 Wh. Designed and engineered by Canyon, covered by Shimano’s global service centre.
