12/10/2015, CANYON Jan Frodeno is Ironman World Champion

System Complete. Mission Complete.

They say that success in triathlon is all down to dedication. It’s not about being the best on one day out of 365, it’s about being the best every single day.

On Saturday the 10th of October in the waters and on the roads surrounding Kona, Hawaii, Jan Frodeno proved across 8 hours 14 minutes and 40 seconds that the dedication pays off.

This was a measured display. The complete performance. Fast across every single discipline, strong exactly where it counted the most, yet composed and controlled throughout. The only time Jan ever looked to break his rhythm was walking across the finish line on Alii Drive to become the first ever Olympic and Ironman World Champion.

Part of the leading trio coming out of the water, Jan rode the entire Canyon Bike Course in full control aboard his Speedmax CF SLX. By T2, he had built a lead he would not relinquish as he embarked on the marathon. 50:50 / 4:27:27 / 2:52:21 is all it took on paper, the superhuman effort required to put it together in one complete performance was something else entirely.

Congratulations from all at Canyon to the 2015 Ironman World Champion, Jan Frodeno, Top-10 finisher, Boris Stein, and everyone else who made it to the finish on Alli Drive.
