Modern

With its clean lines and sleek finish, the Neuron CF marks a huge step forward in terms of design. Optically, the Neuron now fits in perfectly with the other bikes in our full-suspension range.

The Neuron CF and AL, with their 130 mm of suspension travel, are both equally adept at climbing and descending. The Neuron is the ultimate all-rounder for all riders and in all situations – from your after-work loop, to all-day tours and mountain adventures.

Triple Phase Suspension

Our proven three-phase (sensitive – stable – progressive) kinematics system means the suspension works with max efficiency, and can always provide that little extra travel right when you need it most.

PHASE 1

The precise positioning of the four suspension pivot points and rear shock provides outstanding sensitivity and responsiveness at the start of the stroke.

PHASE 2

Through the mid-stroke, at around the sag point, the shock provides a stable platform.

The end of the stroke ramps up progressively, so you only use all 130 mm of travel when absolutely required.

New Linkage

The horizontally mounted shock and precise kinematics improve the way the bike reacts to small bumps, and allow a lower stand-over height for more freedom of movement. The new linkage, made from fibre-reinforced plastic, integrates seamlessly into the frame, and metal inserts increase the lifespan of the bearings. High anti-squat allows for rapid acceleration and efficient pedalling, and the rear end remains active and in contact with the ground, for exceptional traction and control.

Geometry

The Neuron’s balanced geometry delivers sporty handling without sacrificing on comfort. On the smaller frames, we were able to further reduce the stand-over height by lowering the top tube and bottom bracket, for precise handling and a low centre of gravity. And keeping the frame tube diameter proportional to the frame size means even the largest frames have excellent stiffness.

27,5” or 29”

Depending on frame size, the Neuron comes with either 29” or 27.5” wheels. This allows us to offer you the ideal wheel to fit your body size. Frames in XS and S come with 27.5” wheels, and M, L and XL sizes feature 29” wheels – so everyone can achieve that ideal, sporty-yet-comfortable riding position. And in all sizes we’ve tweaked the top tube length, chainstay length and head angle to keep you in an optimal, central position on the bike.

Full Carbon Frame

The Neuron’s frame and rear triangle are constructed from robust carbon fibre. Keeping the frame tube diameter proportional to the frame size means even the largest frames have excellent stiffness – and gives the smaller frames an excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio. On the smaller frames (XS and S), we reduced the height of the downtube by 3 mm, and in XL, we increased it by 7 mm, increasing stiffness by 23%. Now, riders of all sizes get the frame stiffness they need, without carrying any extra weight.

Bearing Concept

Bearing Concept

To keep you on the trail the whole year round, we’ve fitted long-life industrial-grade bearings with double-lip seals, and added protective caps to keep the dirt away. The main pivot has two bearings on the drive side, to better cope with higher loads caused by chain tension.

Cable Channel

Cable Channel

Internal cable routing provides a clean, refined look and protects your cables from dirt and water. To make maintaining your cables as easy as possible, we’ve integrated a plastic cable channel into the down tube. The channel also protects the frame from flying stones and gravel.

IPU

IPU

The Impact Protection Unit (IPU) protects the top tube from being damaged by contact with the brake or gear levers, in the event of a crash or if the bike is hit during transport.

Quixle

Quixle

The Quixle, developed by Canyon, combines the stiffness of a through axle with the ease of a quick-release – letting you apply more braking force, for more control when you need it. When riding, the lever integrates into the axle, for a clean look on the trail.
