26/07/2017, CANYON CFDT MONT-SAINT-ANNE PREVIEW
AND THEN THERE WERE TWO…
After a slow (for him) start to the season, it’s safe to say that Troy Brosnan has gotten used to the new team and the Sender CF. Coming fourth, first and second in the last three outings - races that have been decided by milliseconds - Troy has shown that the race for overall series winner isn’t over yet. In what is being called one of the most competitive years in downhill history, Troy now sits 160 points away from the legendary Greg Minnaar and just under 100 ahead of last year’s winner Aaron Gwin. To take the top spot will require everything to go right, but you can bet that that is Troy’s plan. Like every round, he’ll be on track looking for the win this weekend.
Mark Wallace continues to have a strong breakout season and has shown that his second place in Lourdes was due to more than just the crazy weather. With seventh and twelfth place finishes in the last two rounds, look for the young Canadian to pin it on home soil and solidify his spot in the top ten overall.
The race will be broadcast live on Red Bull TV this Saturday August, 5th at 9:00 PM CEST. Make sure to tune in and catch the action live.
