You can get your fave Canyon bike for less from January 1, thanks to VAT reduction.

From January 1, there's a VAT reduction from 23% to 6% on bicycles in Portugal. As we're a direct-to-consumer brand, we're passing these savings on to you. That means a nice price decrease on all Canyon bikes.

Q&As for orders placed from 1 January onwards on price adjustment due to the VAT reduction:

- All customers who place an order with a Portuguese delivery address will benefit from the lower prices due to the VAT reduction. We will adjust the prices for almost all our bikes. The price adjustment is valid for deliveries from 1 January 2023 on.
- Yes, as of 1 January the adjusted prices will be visible on our website and your order will automatically proceed as usual with the new price.
  
  Please note: Due to the price changes, orders placed in the first days of January will receive the order confirmation a bit later than usual. We kindly ask for your patience. You will get the ‘order received’ mail directly after the checkout, so you can be sure that your order went through.
- Yes, the shipping address is the relevant factor: the VAT reduction applies for all orders with a shipping address within Portugal.

Information on running orders which were placed before 1 January and are shipped after 1 January:

Did you order your bike or accessories before January with the original price at that time, but the order is going to be delivered after 1 January? Below you can find information on how we’re handling the price adjustment for you. Please also note the Q&As below on the different payment methods!

- No. Canyon automatically passes on the VAT reduction to all customers who have ordered a product which is delivered after 1. If you ordered your product before 1 January, you will receive an adjusted order confirmation with the updated price during January. You do not have to do anything to benefit from the VAT reduction. There is no need to cancel your current order and place a new order after 1 January!
- If you chose credit card payment for your order and the amount has already been booked:
  We will debit only the adjusted (lower) amount from your credit card on the day of payment.
  
  If you chose credit card payment for your order and the amount has not yet been booked:
  You will receive a new payment link from us by mail for the adjusted (lower) amount. Please confirm the reservation with the new payment link so that we can debit the adjusted amount for further processing of your order.
- In general, prepayment as payment type for orders including gear, isn’t possible for an uncertain time frame.
  
  If you have an existing order incl. gear, which has not been shipped yet, a new order will get placed with credit card as payment method.
  
  If the original amount has already been debited from your account:
  We will reimburse the difference between the adjusted price and the amount already paid, once the order has been delivered to you and the 30-day return period has expired. Unless you provide us with other bank details, we will re-transfer the corresponding amount back to the account from which you made the payment. Please note that the reimbursement may take up to 4 weeks.
  
  If the original amount has not yet been debited from your account:
  In this case, please only transfer the adjusted lower amount quoting the order number. You will find the updated price, the order number and the Canyon account details in the adapted order confirmation which we will send to you by email in the first days of January.
- If the original amount for your order was already pre-booked with PayPal before January:
  In this case, we will only debit the adjusted (lower) amount from your PayPal account. The difference amount from the original price will remain on your PayPal account at first. Once your order has been shipped and the 30-day return period has expired, we will cancel the difference amount on your PayPal account.
  
  If the original amount for your order was not yet been pre-booked with PayPal before January:
  If this case, you will receive a new PayPal link with the adjusted amount in the adapted order confirmation that will be emailed to you in the first days of January. Please confirm the new payment link so that we can debit the adjusted amount to process your order.
- The reservation / payment will be fully cancelled and a new payment link with the updated amount will be mailed to you in the first days of January. Please confirm the new payment link so that we can debit the adjusted amount to process your order.
