Lighter, more powerful, more versatile: Shimano’s new EP8 motor heralds the beginning of a whole new era of e-MTB riding. Its powerful motorised support now feels even more natural, and a longer range lets you ride further. What’s more, you can tune the motor to fit your riding style and terrain using an app.

USB-C

Extra power on tap! To activate the Shimano EP8 motor, simply press the top tube-integrated :ON button. You can pick between three support modes – Eco, Trail, and Boost. And there’s also an integrated USB-C charging socket for charging your smartphone, lights, or other devices.

Triple Phase Suspension

The rear end’s Triple Phase Suspension design provides sensational ride quality over any terrain. Sensitive small-bump response gives you top traction and control. With a stable platform in the middle section, you can keep momentum and speed over bumps and ruts. And on the descents, the suspension ramps up progressively for huge confidence and stability.

Disc Brake

Shimano MT420 4-piston, front brake

e-MTBs need to have serious braking power. That’s why we kitted this bike with powerful Shimano four-piston callipers – MT4120 on the front, and MT4100 on the rear. Pair those with large 203mm rotors and you’ll have the control and confidence to stop exactly when you need to. You can even adjust the bite point of the levers.

Iridium Dropper Post

Improving both manoeuvrability and safety, a dropper post is a must on any modern mountain bike. The Iridium Dropper Post is internally routed through a special channel and lowers your saddle between 100 and 150 mm depending on frame size.

Canyon SD:ON

The SD:ON WMN is our women’s-specific saddle, specially designed for e-bikes. You spend more time in the saddle while e-biking so we use cut outs on the nose of the saddle to improve comfort and relieve pressure from the groin. The saddle raises up slightly towards the back to provide extra support on steep climbs.

RockShox Judy Silver, 130mm

Up front, the 130 mm RockShox Judy fork isn’t just simple to work with and maintain – it also gives you plenty comfort and steering precision over tricky terrain.
