If you can only have one mountain bike in your garage, the Spectral 29 is that bike. It’s a solid, do-it-all kind of trail bike. It’s both an efficient climber and a very capable descender, with plenty of travel to bail you out of trouble.

Can I install a 27.5 rear wheel and make this a proper "mullet" bike?

No. Doing so would severely compromise its performance.

How much suspension travel does it have?

We offer Spectral 29 models in two different suspension configurations: Fox-equipped bikes with 160F/150R travel and RockShox-equipped models with 150F/150R travel.

The larger wheelsize delivers improved roll over, greater traction from the tires’ larger footprint, and greater rider confidence at speed thanks to increased centrifugal stability and a longer wheelbase. If you are looking for the most playful and nimble ride quality possible, check out the Spectral 27.5 models.
