Every bike is a women's bike

This page explains why we invest in women’s specific bikes and how to find your perfect fit.

Women's Road Bikes

A bike is more than a mode of transport – it's a feeling, a way of life. It's our passion. Leaving the city behind, we scale the hardest climbs, race against friends or against the clock, and explore new roads and paths.

Do I need a woman’s bike?

There’s no such thing as ‘one-size-fits-all’ geometry. Bike choice isn’t influenced by your gender, but by your body size and proportions.

Canyon’s WMN are optimised for riders with

  • lower body masses
  • shorter torsos
  • proportionally longer legs than the average

Some women (and men) benefit from these changes, and some don’t. Because 90% of Canyon bikes are available in both unisex and WMN, you can choose for yourself.

WMN bikes are designed to solve common fit problems some riders face, such as

  • Neck pain caused by overreaching for the handlebar
  • A harsh ride caused by overly-firm suspension
  • Handling issues caused by too-wide handlebars
  • Saddle pain, even on short rides
  • We do this by offering greater sizing flexibility and when it’s needed, women’s specific saddles.

    If you measure 145-152 cm – size 3XS - S
You get lighter frames to accommodate lower body masses (40-70 kg), correctly proportioned 650b wheels and handlebars that scale down with your frame size.

    If you measure 174-183 cm - size S - M
With more size options across small and medium, you have the flexibility to size up for a more stable feel, or size down for more pointy and nimble handling.

How do I choose the right frame size?

The Perfect Positioning System (PPS) sizes every bike individually against your body measurement.

First, find a bike that suits your riding style. Then enter your height and inner leg length into the Perfect Positioning System (PPS).

PPS sizes each bike specifically on its own geometry, so your size might vary across bikes.

You will also find the most important measurements in the bike geometry chart found on every bike detail page.
