The Red Dot Design Awards and German Design Awards are among the most internationally renowned and respected design prizes there are and once again, Canyon has won a range of new accolades for 2019 thanks to the outstanding achievements of its R&D teams.
This year two bikes have earned a coveted Red Dot Design Award: the recently launched Strive CF full-suspension enduro race bike, and the full-suspension Lux CF cross-country racer, which has already enjoyed competitive success.
In addition, the jury of the German Design Awards decorated the Grail CF—Canyon's strikingly unique gravel bike—with a "Special Mention."
"It's always a special honor to win these internationally-significant awards, says Peter Kettenring, senior industrial designer at Canyon. "Our approach of extending Canyon's established design language — fundamentally interlinked with our requirements to new areas of application is truly an exciting task. Receiving design awards, as well as positive feedback from our customers and fans, confirms that we are doing the right thing, and that's inspirational.
Canyon bikes are developed with the aim of leading the way technically in their segment, and of seamlessly combining the brand's clean industrial design language with the functional requirements of the bicycle. Canyon's guiding design principle —"Simple. Precise. Dynamic."— has, for years, resulted in a unique, instantly recognizable look that inspires Canyon fans around the globe.
