Here's how we make the difference

Highlights

Considering this is the entry level of the Aeroad CF SLX Disc brake bikes, it’s pretty spectacularly spec’d. Everything has been included to enhance the aero stature of the bike, while retaining the race-ready rigidity that has already made the rim brake version of the Aeroad so successful. The serious stiffness of the head tube and bottom bracket keep it snappy and aggressive, and the Trident 2.0 downtube provides the stable, aerodynamic spine to the whole setup. The Pro Geometry means you can slam the stem and make the most of the aerodynamic design. The S27 Aero VCLS CF seatpost uses the same Trident 2.0 aero technology as the down tube, and enhances the clever, clean lines of the design with an integrated seatpost clamp. Sticking on the DT Swiss Arc 1400 Dicut wheelset, specially designed for disc brakes, not only makes the bike look amazing, but enhances the aero qualities. With this bike not only will you be able to get to your top speed easily, you will be able to hold it for much longer than with a conventionally shaped bike. The newly refined Shimano Ultegra mechanical groupset offers all the important features that the Dura Ace collection uses, but at a much better price point. Ordering the Aeroad CF SLX Disc 8.0 will get you a little closer to open road nirvana.

BIKE CLASSIFICATION: Bikes of this category are designed for riding on hard-surface roads where the wheels remain impermanent contact to the ground. These are in general road-racing bicycles with racing handlebars or straight handlebars, triathlon or time trial bicycles. The permissible maximum overall weight comprising rider, luggage and bicycle should not exceed 120 kg. Under certain circumstances, this permissible maximum weight can be further limited by the component manufacturers’ recommendations for use. Proven cyclocross bikes with racing handlebars and cantilever or disc brakes are a special case in this category. In addition, these bikes are also suitable for gravel paths and off-road trails where a short loss of tire contact with the ground due to small stairs or steps at a height of 15 to 20 cm can occur.
