Road Disc by Canyon
Here's how we make the difference
Whether you have ambitions to race or are just interested in thrashing your mates on the Saturday morning ride, the Aeroad CF SLX Disc 9.0 SL will be the perfect companion equally for long, windy rides or snappy local crits. If you’ve been racing rim brakes for your entire life, and wonder what the big deal is with disc brakes, just one pull of the SRAM e-Tap HRD lever, and you’ll wonder where hydraulic disc brakes have been all your life. Having hydraulic disc brakes on the Aeroad CF SLX frame really creates the perfect racing machine since you’ll be able to push your speed knowing full well that you will be able to control the stopping force. You’ll be able to feather them lightly, or pull vigorously, and count on a perfect response in wet or dry conditions. And if you fancy taking this bike to the high mountains in France or Italy, the SRAM hydraulic disc brakes have also improved the management of heat caused by friction to the point where there is hardly a mountain pass in the world long enough to burn out your brakes on a descent.
Enhancing the aero credentials, the Reynolds Strike Carbon Clincher wheelset designed specifically for disc brakes will help cut through the wind, remaining stable and predictable in cross-windy conditions. And the Canyon H11 Aerocockpit CF provides an integrated handlebar-stem that will save 5.5 watts compared to a regular handlebar setup at 45km/h which will definitely increase your efficiency on the bike. For the seatpost, the very clever integrated seat clamp holds up the S27 Aero VCLS CF seatpost that uses the same Trident 2.0 aero technology as the Aeroad downtube.
The Aeroad CF SLX Disc 9.0 SL looks amazing and performs even better. If you buy one of these, be prepared to be the envy, even the target, of all your friends and opponents in your next race.
