Road Disc by Canyon
Here's how we make the difference
If you started cycling back in the day when gear levers were on the down tube and there were only five or six gears from which to choose, then you might be a little incredulous about just how specialised bikes have become. Aero bikes, racing bikes, endurance bikes: sure, you can get a different bike for each road discipline, but with the Endurace CF SLX DISC 8.0, you can stop worrying about labels and hit the road for big-time adventures. The Endurace CF SLX carbon frame, weighing just 820 g, is one of the lightest disc road frames in the market and has been designed to be comfortable with its Sport Geometry and vertically compliant carbon layup, while retaining that extra rigidity to be a beast when you put the hammer down. With a slightly higher stack and shorter reach, this is a frame that you should be able to feel comfortable riding for long distances and pleasant hours. If you still have some remnants of determination not to be taken in by the hype of modern cycling marketing, you can feel comfortable with the idea that you’ll be getting the smartest groupset on the planet, since the newly improved Shimano Ultegra gives you all of the sleek functionality of the top-flight Dura Ace, but at a greatly reduced price tag. Excellent way to thumb your nose at the marketing guys. Rolling with the Reynolds Assault LE Disc Carbon wheels, which are a pre-release, limited edition (LE) of the new Reynolds Assault wheel for 2018, means that with its improved profile you can use it for everything from roughly paved roads to high-speed motor pacing. The Endurace CF SLX DISC 8.0 will end up being the best road bike for endurance and casual riding you can buy without bankrupting your bike fund.

BIKE CLASSIFICATION: Bikes of this category are designed for riding on hard-surface roads where the wheels remain impermanent contact to the ground. These are in general road-racing bicycles with racing handlebars or straight handlebars, triathlon or time trial bicycles. The permissible maximum overall weight comprising rider, luggage and bicycle should not exceed 120 kg. Under certain circumstances, this permissible maximum weight can be further limited by the component manufacturers’ recommendations for use. Proven cyclocross bikes with racing handlebars and cantilever or disc brakes are a special case in this category. In addition, these bikes are also suitable for gravel paths and off-road trails where a short loss of tire contact with the ground due to small stairs or steps at a height of 15 to 20 cm can occur.
