Whether you want to hit the gravel racing circuit pretty hard, or are simply interested in mixing in some rougher surfaced roads into your usual training routes, the Grail CF SL 8.0 will be the perfect bike for your rides of discovery. This is the do everything, go everywhere type of bike that will open up so many possibilities of exploration. The lightweight carbon frame has been given the same Sport Geometry that makes our Endurace road line so comfortable, and responsive. This is an all-terrain road bike that kills it whether you’re riding Swiss-smooth tarmac or roughing it through rooted forest trails. To offer a degree of shock absorption, we have developed a new cockpit that is made to give you enough comfort when you are on dirt roads, to absorb all the micro bumps, to allow you the best, most comfortable riding position, and to give you additional support in the drops. In addition, the use of the Canyon S23 VCLS 2.0 seat post with its spring leaf vertical flex will protect your backside from unwanted rough road vibrations. The durable yet, lightweight (1753 g) aluminium DT Swiss C 1800 Disc wheels with 40 mm wide Schwalbe G-ONE Bite Gravel will give you that perfect mix of responsive and robust wheels with tons of grip for the gravel sections and low rolling resistance on smooth roads. To ensure equally agile handling across all sizes, the 2XS and XS come with 650b wheels so no compromises needed to be made in terms of geometry for the small riders. The latest version of Shimano Ultegra groupset has been included on this bike, and will get you the sort of sharp shifting and durable performance that will make sure even your muckiest road rides will come off without the hassle of burned out disc brake calipers or ghost shifting. Eyelets for fender mounts will also add a touch of practicality. Buying the Grail CF SL 8.0 will be the best way to spice up your training routine, whether you are looking to train through winter or explore the backcountry dirt roads in summer.

BIKE CLASSIFICATION: Bikes of this category are designed for riding on hard-surface roads where the wheels remain in permanent contact to the ground. These are in general road-racing bicycles with racing handlebars or straight handlebars, triathlon or time trial bicycles. The permissible maximum overall weight comprising rider, luggage and bicycle should not exceed 120 kg. Under certain circumstances, this permissible maximum weight can be further limited by the component manufacturers’ recommendations for use. Proven cyclocross bikes with racing handlebars and cantilever or disc brakes are a special case in this category. In addition, these bikes are also suitable for gravel paths and off-road trails where a short loss of tire contact with the ground due to small stairs or steps at a height of 15 to 20 cm can occur.
