Road Disc by Canyon
Here's how we make the difference
If you are pretty interested in joining the disc brake uprising, but have been worried about any aerodynamic disadvantage the disc brakes may cause, the Canyon Ultimate CF SL Disc 8.0 Aero might be just the balanced bike you need. Though Ultimate frames aren’t quite the aero thoroughbred like the Aeroads, they are as much intended for climbing as for racing over exposed roads. And to enhance the aero effects of this frame, the Canyon H36 Aerocockpit CF has been included. The in-house designed integrated handlebar and stem system offers a seamless, very thin profile to the wind, which will reduce drag. Equipping this Ultimate CF SL Disc with the new Ultegra mechanical groupset will give you access to pro-level components without having to worry about heaping on the expense. The smooth, 11-speed shifting will keep you one fingertip away from your perfect gear, and the hydraulic disc brakes will redefine for you what great braking feels like. We’re not only talking braking power, but consistency too, no matter the terrain or weather conditions. The Mavic Cosmic Pro Carbon C Disc wheelset designed to work with disc brakes and withstand the various braking forces possible with discs, offer an aero, lightweight wheel option while remaining practical. With 12mm through axles, you won’t have to worry about durability should the road surface start getting super rough. Looking to order a bike that will get you over the hills and through the rough patches with no problems, then the Ultimate CF SL Disc 8.0 Aero will be the best road bike for your varied terrain and big ambitions.

BIKE CLASSIFICATION: Bikes of this category are designed for riding on hard-surface roads where the wheels remain impermanent contact to the ground. These are in general road-racing bicycles with racing handlebars or straight handlebars, triathlon or time trial bicycles. The permissible maximum overall weight comprising rider, luggage and bicycle should not exceed 120 kg. Under certain circumstances, this permissible maximum weight can be further limited by the component manufacturers’ recommendations for use. Proven cyclocross bikes with racing handlebars and cantilever or disc brakes are a special case in this category. In addition, these bikes are also suitable for gravel paths and off-road trails where a short loss of tire contact with the ground due to small stairs or steps at a height of 15 to 20 cm can occur.
