Adjust Shimano Di2 Gearshift
1. Battery charge status:
Press a rocker switch on the brake handle and hold it for five seconds. Picture 1
The battery charge status can be checked using the diode on the cockpit junction box.
100 % Green light (2 seconds)
50 % Green light flashes (5 times)
25 % Red light (2 seconds)
0 % Red light flashes (5 times)
2. Charge battery:
Connect the charging cable to the small connector in the cockpit junction box. The connector is protected by a plastic cover.
As the battery charge falls it will first become impossible to use the front derailleur and then the rear derailleur will fail. If the battery is fully discharged the front or rear derailleur will stop in the last set position. If the red battery indicator light is lit, we recommend that you charge the battery as soon as possible.
3. Safety function
The safety function will be triggered by a heavy impact and the connection between the motor and the arm will be temporarily broken thus shutting down the rear derailleur. This is designed to protect the system, for example in the event of a fall.
If this happened, press the button on the cockpit junction box for 5 seconds or more. This re-establishes the connection between the motor and the arm and resets the gear safety function.
4. Adjust the gear:
First set the rear derailleur to position the chain on the 5th sprocket and the front derailleur to position the chain on the small chainring.
Press the button on the cockpit junction box until the red LED lights up to switch the rear derailleur to setting mode. Please note that if you continue to hold the button after the red LED lights up, the system will start to reset the safety function.
