Nerve CF 9.0 LTD
In order to successfully follow in the footsteps of the series winner Nerve XC, Canyon waited three years before bringing out its carbon successor. It was well worth waiting for.
"No other model in the Canyon range has earned as many test medals as the Nerve over the years. Can the carbon successor continue this trend after a development phase of three years?
In order to successfully follow in the footsteps of the series winner Nerve XC, Canyon waited three years before bringing out its carbon successor. It was well worth waiting for because with the CF version Koblenz based Canyon has succeeded in going one better than the alloy predecessor. The monocoque-carbon-frame and carbon rocker alone save between 500g and 600g. On the trail the Nerve rides as stiff as an out and out race bike. The steep 74° seat angle even makes the bike a distinguished contender for the marathon start-block. However, the super responsive suspension is really in its element on brisk tours over the mountain ranges. The delightfully playful handling and integrated Reverb seat post will also very quickly bring a big smile to the rider's face on winding and bumpy terrain. [...] A plate laminated into the bottom bracket and an integrated rubber coating protect the fragile carbon structures on the chain stay".
The carbon Nerve has picked up where the alloy version left off and even goes one better in the higher price category. The playful, stiff trail bike is one of the best in its class and set to dominate test fields in 2013.
