If you are among the fastest swimmers in your age group, but hate getting to T1 and having to change over to your normal road bike while all your competitors have tricked-out TT bikes, then treat yourself to buying a Speedmax WMN CF 9.0, and keep your competitive edge.
The great thing about the Speedmax WMN CF 9.0 is that it takes two very important considerations very seriously: the fact that you are on a budget and the fact you are a woman. No silly compromises need to be made for either issue, though. This bike comes in four sizes, including an XS which will suit anyone from 158cm tall and then you can go up from there. The geometry in general features a slightly shorter reach and higher stack, so that you can expect to find a comfortable position for longer races and endurance events. Something else that will help to dial in your perfect position is the integrated V21 AL Aero stem and H30 CF Basebar handlebar system that has been designed by Canyon to work with the Profile T4 Aluminium arm extensions to offer a wide range of adjustments.
The tube shapes have benefited from advancements made with the CF SLX and have the Tirdent profile that has a rounded face to the wind with a chopped-off tail. It’s a shape that is not only very aerodynamic in a headwind, but extremely resistant to being blown about in crosswinds. You’ll also enjoy the nose-less Fizik Tritone tri saddle engineered for triathletes who favor a forward seated position and want greater comfort for longer events. To save a bit on cost, the Speedmax CF 9.0 comes equipped with Shimano Ultegra mechanical components. It’s hardly a come-down in quality, and you might actually prefer it over the electric. You will certainly still get the exceptionally smooth shifting and reliable braking that we always expect from Shimano. The Mavic CXR Elite Exalith WTS wheels are included and have enhanced stability in crosswinds and offer predictive braking if the weather conditions turn against you. The Mavic Yksion Pro GripLink (front) and PowerLink (rear) tires will also guarantee excellent grip and low rolling resistance in all conditions.
Once you are training all the hours you can, there aren’t too many places to see improvements, but with an upgrade in gear, like the Speedmax WMN CF 9.0, you will start to see those best times that you thought were your boundaries actually no longer exist.
