Light, stiff and made to cheat the wind – riding the Speedmax AL is the fail-safe way to gaining new best times for all aspiring triathletes and time trial testers. Aerodynamic performance is the key to riding fast. With a low frontal surface area, deep teardrop tube profiles, hourglass head tube and narrow Aero Post CF, it’s clear that this frameset is built for high-speed cruising. Add to these features the shallow rear triangle plus full internal cable routing and there remains very little left for the wind to attack, saving you even more valuable watts.
To keep air turbulence at the rear to an absolute minimum, the dropouts provide tool-free adjustment allowing the wheel to sit perfectly flush against the sculpted seat tube. The Aero Fork CF keeps things stiff for assured handling through fast bends, while our Aero Post CF offers a practically infinite range of fore, aft and angle adjustment. Combine this with the versatile cockpit and it’s a breeze to find the most powerful, comfortable and streamlined position on the bike. Pure speed has never been so attainable.
The slide can be adjusted horizontally within a range of 50mm and allows you to optimize your bike to fit in with your preferences. In addition, the bike's streamlined design delivers optimum aerodynamics.
Looks good, saves weight and easy to replace: Canyon's internally routed cables. The particular feature: Even when the cables are not under tension they support each other and therefore do not rattle inside the down tube.
Individuality and in-house development have top priority at Canyon. Therefore it was an absolute no-brainer that we launch a specially developed fork for the Speedmax onto the market. Not only does the fork fit in beautifully with the overall appearance of the bike, but it also makes an outstanding contribution to the overall aerodynamic design of the frame. The wide fork blades reliably guide the airflow over the entire system and as the first contact point for the wind, also make an outstanding contribution to the aerodynamic performance of the Speedmax.
The horizontal drop outs allow the optimum adjustment of the rear wheel so that the tyre clearance to the frame is kept to an absolute minimum. The smaller the clearance the less the chance is that air turbulence effects performance.
