Moving to a 12 speed system has allowed SRAM to create a narrower, lighter chain with the unique Flattop design adding durability and strength to accompany quiet, fast shifting. To reduce wear further, the chain’s rollers and inner link plates have been hard chrome plated while the chain is easily connected using a SRAM PowerLock.
