Carbon frame building par excellence. "It's especially those manufacturers who invest a great deal in construction who become trendsetters. Frame moulds from manufacturers like Canyon [..] are easy to recognise even without their brand-name transfers." (Tour03/09) Thanks to its laminate configuration the chassis guarantees outstanding stiffness for aggressive sprints and good damping characteristics on the Ritchey VCLS seat post, which was specially designed by Canyon, thereby reducing pressure on the rider's muscles.
With the best fork in the Tour-Test of 03/09, the One One Four SLX carbon fibre fork, Canyon has focused its efforts on modern technologies. Weighing in at just 295 grammes, it is not only suitable for mountain goats. The Tapered Steerer narrowing from bottom to the top made greater weight savings and increased stiffness possible. That's great for the sprinters in the peloton. The extremely narrow silhouette of the fork guarantees better damping characteristics. Greater stiffness is also guaranteed thanks to the strengthening of those parts of the frame which are subject to the greatest loads. An absolute must for classics riders.
Including a One One Four SLX fork, Ritchey WCS stem, Ritchey VCLS-Modulation Technology seat post and Canyon seat clamp.
Frame weight: 890 g. Colours: Carbon Fibre Black Matte, Team White

In 2009 Roadbike magazine invited its readers to select their favourite bike. The vote went unanimously in Canyon's favour. The Roadlite and the Ultimate AL signalled their dominance in the budget and medium price ranges respectively, and the Ultimate CF creamed off the awards in the carbon best-sellers and high-tech road bike categories.
COMPACT CRANKSET
You're at home in the mountains? You also attach great importance to smooth pedaling? You don't need to reach high speeds during sprint finishes or descents, but weight saving on the bike is essential as is the shortest possible tread or "Q" factor of the crank. Then there's only one type of crankset that meets your needs, and that's a compact crankset.
STANDARD CRANKSET
You've been riding a racing bike for many years? You can maintain a smooth pedaling style even on the most strenuous of climbs? You feel at home on the flat roads and would always like to give everything you've got? You've been pushing big gears for years without any problems. Your first choice just has to be a standard crankset.
TRIPLE CRANKSET
You would like to be prepared for every situation? Whether it's steep ramps, long descents, riding in the slip stream or finishing sprints - Do you ride every route with total passion? You don't mind having a little extra weight on board? In principle you believe that all good things come in threes: That means that you must have a triple crankset.

INDIVIDUAL CUSTOMER SERVICE
We help you in finding the best possible bike for you. The right size and model. This is the only way to achieve maximum riding fun: Pure Cycling
In cycle sport weight is a critical factor, therefore we indicate the weight of every frame and bike. For complete bikes the weights indicated are on the basis of frame size 58 for road bikes and frame size M for MTBs. In the case of frames weights are indicated on the basis of frame size S (mountainbikes) and size 50 (road bikes) and are in matt black without fittings such as headset or derailleur hanger (with MTBs without shocks). However, the products in a model series are subject to certain tolerances for a variety of reasons:
One important factor is the surface coating. Clear-varnished or anodised frames weigh significantly less than painted frames. Especially white frames weigh more than black ones due to the high demands when using white paint. The colour does not cover that well and this means that more layers of paint are required. The choice of colour alone can contribute to differences in weight of up to 100 grammes.
Due to the various frame sizes different amounts of material are required in the manufacturing process. This is why a larger frame weighs more than a smaller one. Depending on the model and design the difference in weight can be between 10 and 40 grammes.
Depending on the material and manufacturing process, there may be variations in the componentry used which is above all apparent on carbon frames. Differences in weight of up to +/- 40 grammes are possible. In addition, with complete bikes it's also the case that individual components are also subject to tolerances.
In some tests conducted by trade journals the weights are mathematically adjusted. This means that the magazines calculate the weight in real-terms and then apply it to a comparable level, for example by always using the same length of fork steerer as a basis, or by adjusting the weight of smaller frames upwards or the weight of larger frames downwards. The magazines have adopted this system in order to create greater transparency when comparing weight.
