“The frame has been completely reworked, and comes top of the league in virtually all disciplines. A points victory for the guys from Koblenz. Frame set: 1.7 – Equipment: 1.7 – Test winner” (TOUR, 02/2012)
“Unbeatable price-performance ratio, stiff aluminium frame, superb damping from the outstanding seat post”, Roadbike verdict: Very good (03/2012)
Gear shifts as easy as mouse clicks. No time lag, no force required. The frame of the Ultimate AL was specially designed to seamlessly accommodate the electronic Shimano Di2 groupset. The cables disappear into the frame close to the top tube, emerging next to the battery and the front and rear derailleurs – this keeps the frame neat and tidy.
This aluminium racer is bristling with other features like Press-Fit bearings for superior stiffness during sprints, the ergonomic Ritchey WCS EvoCurve handlebar, which shows its true colours when combined with shock absorbing Ergospeed handlebar tape, and the high end Mavic Ksyrium Elite WTS wheels. The lightweight and stiff system wheels are twinned with Yksion PRO tyres to optimise power transmission and acceleration. On the road, the Ultimate AL 9.0 Di2 will set pulses racing with its direct handling and solid power transfer.
Shimano Ultegra Di2
Now you can enjoy electronic shifting on the Ultegra groupset. The rear derailleur impresses with a weight of just 270g. The derailleur is adjusted electronically and this can also be done while riding. The design of the derailleur has also been further upgraded in order to improve shift performance.

One One Four SLX
The tapered head tube in combination with the tapered steerer tube allow the load to be spread more evenly. This translates into more safety without weight penalty. Large diameters at the fork crown provide better load transfer and reduce the notch effects.
VCLS Technology
The VCLS Stays (Vertical Comfort, Lateral Stiffness) located at the transition of seat tube, top tube and seat stays, are able to absorb the vibrations and lessen the strain on the muscles. This gain in comfort is reinforced by the newly developed Canyon VCLS Post. A Carbon layup with particularly flexible basalt fibres provides a completely new riding experience.
i-Lock headset system
By rendering conventional tube drilling and clamping cones superfluous, the i-Lock headset system protects the carbon steerer from mechanical stress and damages. We were able to save weight thanks to the thin section bearing at the top and the deeply pressed-in, oversized 1 1/2 inch angular contact ball bearing at the bottom guarantees the maximum load rating of the system.
Maximus Seattube
The increasing width of the cross-section of the patented Maximus seat tube increases the lateral stiffness of the frame in the bottom bracket area by 30% compared to a conventional, round seat tube.
