The new 940g light Ultimate CF SL frame is equipped with almost all the features of the high-end carbon road frame Ultimate CF SLX and delivers the optimum combination of lightweight design, stiffness, comfort and competitive appearance. The direct connection of the oval seat stays with the top tube makes the rear triangle extremely stiff and considerably more comfortable thanks to the flattened top tube and Maximus Seattube. Maximum ride performance is delivered by the interplay of the stiff Press-Fit bottom bracket and the asymmetric chain stays.
The lightweight One One Four SLX fork with carbon drop-outs is a true champion in the comfort stakes. The race fork boasts superb lateral stiffness and absorbs hard shocks from the road thanks to the special carbon lay-up in the same way as the seat stays. Maximum stiffness for the sprint as well as superb steering precision and safety for the fast descent are delivered by the 1 ¼ inch fork steerer. The slimline tubing, the flowing design and the internally routed cable system give the frame a pleasing aesthetic appearance, which is by no means inferior to the SLX. The extremely sharp entry and exit angles of the cables at the front and rear of the top tube significantly reduce friction. In addition, the protective stickers become redundant since the cable casings cannot come into contact with the frame regardless of the how far you turn the handlebars.
The derailleur hanger consists of a right and left hand part, which is bolted onto either side of the carbon drop-out. This guarantees maximum width and stiffness at the lowest possible weight.
The seat stays pass either side of the seattube and are connected directly to the rear end of the top tube.
