Purito proved once again that he is the best when it comes to the steep mountain passes.
Joaquim “Purito” Rodriguez crossed the finish line in first place after a very tense and thrilling battle on today’s 17th stage of the 2012 Giro d’Italia. In an exciting sprint finish he managed to outsprint Italian Ivan Basso (Liquigas) and Canadian Ryder Hesjedal (Garmin-Barracuda) on his Giro “Pink edition” Aeroad CF. This is already his second stage win at this year’s Giro and he's one big step closer to still wearing the maglia rosa in Milan.
We are proud of Purito and the whole Team-Katusha!
