BIKE magazine placed 8 touring full suspension bikes with differing wheel sizes costing 3000 Euro upwards under close scrutiny. The Canyon Nerve AL+ 9.0 with 26 inch wheels left a convincing and was given a very good verdict indeed.

Canyon is a real force to be reckoned with. The new alloy chassis is technically state-of-the-art and is one of the lightest in the test. The entire bike weighs a mere 13kg including the telescopic seat post, which is the lightest in the test. The same also applies to the outstanding levels of stiffness achieved by the frame. The range of equipment fulfils every rider's whim. On the test route the bike displayed its appreciable manoeuvrability and powerful forward thrust when climbing.

VERDICT: Very comfortable whatever the terrain, and a well equipped tourer at a budget price.
